The first concert of ZG JAZZ 2020 was held in the museum MSU in Zagreb. The concert hall was full (taking in to consideration the epidemic measures because COVID pandemic) and on the stage we were privileged to have Tamara Obrovac Transhistria Ensemble. They promoted their new album Villa Idola. Although Jazz Orchestra of Croatian Television performs with Tamara Obrovac on Villa Idola because of the pandemic they were not able to be with us, but the atmosphere on the concert showed remarkable friendship and professionalism that made the music on this album.
Publishera of the album (Aquarius Records and Croatian Television) definitely made someone’s beginning of the year 2021 beautiful.

On Sunday, the day after MSU, we were in Small Concert Hall of Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski. Again, Corona made some things impossible but we had a great time hanging out with one of the best jazz bands in Croatia – Black Coffee.
We started the day at 2 PM with the education classes about “playing together” and on 8 PM Black Coffee together with the singer Martine Thomas, had a great concert, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their working together and promoting their album Once Upon A Time.
„This album is dedicated to the time when music was music and word were words; when you could here beautiful melodies combining with the beautiful poetry; is celebrates the history of music – when music was coming from the heart and from the soul and not from some machines…” cit. Renato Švorinić
As a publisher for this, 13th album of theirs, they have chosen Italian publisher house Caligola Records. Except Martine Thomas their friends, playing with them on it are Italian musicians Daniele di Bonaventura, bandoneon and Massimo Dona, trumpet.
We have been really enjoying hearing their music. Get this album – enjoy as well!
